Ah, Mario Tennis for the Nintendo Virtual Boy... what a game. If you're looking for a way to make your eyes bleed while also having a good time, look no further than this gem. The graphics, oh the graphics. I mean, who needs to see the ball anyway? Just squint really hard and hope for the best. And if you're lucky, you might be able to make out a few pixels of Mario's signature overalls. But let's talk about the gameplay. The controls are about as intuitive as trying to use a toaster as a hair dryer. Just when you think you've figured it out, your player decides to swing at the air like they're trying to swat a fly. And the sound effects! If you like your tennis matches accompanied by the soothing sound of a jackhammer, then this is the game for you. And don't even get me started on the music. It's like they took the Mario theme song and ran it through a meat grinder. But hey, at least the game has Mario in it, right? Who needs coherent gameplay or functioning eyes when you've got the mustachioed plumber himself? All in all, Mario Tennis for the Nintendo Virtual Boy is a must-play for anyone looking for a good laugh... or a headache. It's like the developers took a perfectly good game and decided to make it as difficult to play as humanly possible. So if you're up for a challenge, or just want to relive the glory days of the Virtual Boy, give it a shot. Just don't say I didn't warn you.
